Thailand’s original sea kayaking company, Sea Canoe started “Natural History By Sea Kayak” in Hawai’i (est. 1983) and won a 1985 EMMY award for a video featuring Hawai’i’s sea caves.
During a 1989 sea caving expedition, we found Phang Nga Bay’s Hongs and Tidal Sea Caves and invented the Tidal Technology that allows us to enter tidal caves by sea kayak. We still run true Eco-tours, and last year, National Geographic selected SeaCanoe Vietnam as one of the World’s Top 25 Adventures. Even in Phuket, we remain the only operator who truly understands sea kayaking into Phang Nga’s tidal sea caves.
Our guides speak many languages and are trained to Western standards. We hold full public liability insurance with the QBE Insurance Company.
Day One: This first day is fully guided in our self-designed inflatable kayaks. Your guide paddles you through complex tidal sea caves into lagoons called “Hong’s (Thai for “room”.). This allows you to relax and enjoy Phang Nga Bay ambiance. In the afternoon, we provide training for our single seat hard shell Sit-On-Top kayaks.

Day Two: Guest paddle their own single seater hard shell Sit-On-Top kayaks for days 2 and 3

Break camp. Depart for North Koh Yao Noi on escort boat. Breakfast on board. |

Paddle North Koh Yao Noi and Big Tree Bay. Hike to the giant Fichus. |

Paddle 1km crossing to Lagoon Island. Circumnavigate Lagoon Island. This island is home to many crab eating monkeys and giant fruit bats. |

Circumnavigate Koh Chong Lat. This 500 meter island has stunning cliffs, the “Blue Room”, a three-chamber stalactite grotto, and an unusually beautiful channel on the way back to camp. We sometimes see porpoise outside the Blue Room, along with monkeys, water monitors, White Bellied Sea Eagles and Bramany kites. |
